You will spend a short time on the land simulator and then head onto the water to put the theory into practice. A degree of water confidence is required.

RYA Level 1 - Start Windsurfing
A course for complete beginners. A degree of water confidence is required.
We will teach you the basics of windsurfing using our modern wide boards. Including basic rigging, safety, background knowledge and plenty of on-the-water practice. You will learn to sail in all directions, including upwind and downwind, and gain an understanding of when to tack and gybe. After the course you will be able to sail to a chosen point on the water and return to where you started from.

Refresher Courses
Please call us to discuss your previous experience so that we can help you to select the most appropriate course to book.
Alternatively have a 2-hour on water session with an experienced Instructor and we will advise you on your level of windsurfing and give you some options of what to do next.

Cost: £30.00 per hour (1:1 Tution)
On successful completion of your course at Northampton Watersports Centre you will receive an RYA Logbook including a course certificate, providing you have reached the required proficiency level. We will also give you a book of vouchers towards future courses, club membership and even a voucher for a free drink at the club bar!
